    At Studio Jia, our design philosophy is a direct reflection of our motto, "we make beauty in everything everywhere." We firmly believe that beauty is not confined to a specific form or space—it is an intrinsic quality that can be found in every aspect of life, from the grandest architectural structures to the smallest of details.

   Founded by a woman of color as well as a First-Generation graduate, Studio Jia strives for diversity, inclusion and equality in design. We commit to create spaces that refect different backgrounds, cultures and values. We firmly believe that true beauty arises when design is shaped by multitudes of voices experiences and narratives. Our approach centers on the notion that every project, regardless of scale or scope, has the potential to exude beauty. We strive to unearth and enhance this inherent beauty by embracing diverse perspectives, harnessing innovation, and fusing creativity with functionality. 


Founder

    Jia Jing Li received her Master of Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design and Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. She also is the Co-Founder of Unity Preschool, a pioneering early education institute blending Emilia Reggio-inspired innovative pedagogical approaches with “human centered” architectural design.

    Central to Jia's design ethos is the unwavering belief in the "human" aspect of design, an ideology that drives her to create spaces that not only captivate the eye but also resonate with the soul, honoring the individuals who inhabit them.

    She believes that only an interdisciplinary approach to design could embrace the interweaving nature of life. She has forged a path that harmoniously blends various disciplines, such as education and architecture. Under her leadership,  Studio Jia endeavors to craft designs that seamlessly integrate with the intricate tapestry of life, transcending conventional boundaries and enriching the human narrative within spaces.
